Should you fail to do so, the checkbox will clear, and the request that you have made will not be processed. You have the option of selecting the prescription name, which will take you to a page with further information on the prescription. Your box will remain checked even after you close the Refill VA Prescription Information Detail page, and you will be able to pick the Submit Refills/Fills option as soon as you are ready to do so.
The following information on the refill status of the prescriptions will be displayed in this column: If a prescription can be refilled, it will be marked as “Active” and shown in the list of prescriptions. You will see a checkbox that you may choose to indicate that it should be refilled. When you choose the box on an Active prescription and then pick the Submit button at the bottom of the screen, the prescription will be shown as Submitted when the screen returns.
This will only happen if you select the box on an Active prescription. When a refill request is shown as “Submitted,” it indicates that My HealtheVet has received the request but does not yet have it ready to be handled. This status indicates that the pharmacy is currently working on fulfilling the customer’s request to refill their prescription.
When a prescription is in the position of having a Refill in Process performed on it, the Fill Date will reflect when the prescription will be ready to be shipped by the VA Mail Order Pharmacy. A prescription is said to be “Active: Parked” if it is already in the system and may be filled at any time without further action on your part.
There is a possibility that this prescription has already been filled in the past. Your VA clinician has placed an order for this prescription, but the medication won’t be shipped to you unless and until you make a specific request to have it refilled.
- This is the date that the most recent refill request was sent in through the My HealtheVet platform.
- The date is displayed here.
- Fill Date – The Fill Date is the date when the prescription was most recently renewed if the prescription is considered to be Active.
- In that case, the Fill Date refers to the earliest potential date for a refill.
If a prescription has never been filled before, the day that it was initially given will be included as the Fill Date. While you send in a request for a refill, the Fill Date will be updated when the request is being processed by the pharmacy that issued the prescription.
- For example, it will be updated when the status of the request changes from “Submitted” to “Refill in Process.” This is the amount of refills that still need to be filled after the previous ones have been used up.
- Medication Name This column displays the name of the medication as well as the prescription number that has to be filled.
There are the directions for the medication written out for you. Facility is the name of the department within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) that was responsible for first issuing the prescription. If you wish to view medications that can be refilled but there are no prescriptions listed in the table or if there are no prescriptions in an Active status, visit the page that is labeled “My Medication List” to see if there has been a change in the prescriptions’ status. If the drugs you are looking for do not appear on the page under “My Medications List,” you should get in touch with the VA pharmacy in your area for more information.
There is no restriction on the amount of prescriptions that may be seen. On this page, you will see ten prescriptions shown at once if you use the default view. You can see a different number of prescriptions to display in the table’s footer in order to change the maximum number of prescriptions that can be viewed at once to up to one hundred.
